This particular model of this top selling road bike tyre stands out from the competition. This is thanks to its high grip BlackChiliCompound and PolyX Breaker layer, giving you an impressive combination of durability, grip, puncture resistance and a low rolling resistance. Rounding off this race ready tyre is Continental’s TWI (wear indicator), which enables you to clearly see when it’s time to replace it.
The new Grand Prix leads the trends towards wide tyres in cycling. Wider tyres roll easier, have a higher mileage and offer more comfort and grip. The main size of the Grand Prix is 24 mm. Wide enough to show off the advantages of wider tyres, but still light and slim enough to be built into any racing machine.

Slash and puncture resistant PolyX Breaker
With PolyX Breaker®, we are bringing car know-how to the bicycle tyre segment:
Polyester has been used successfully in car tyres for years and has proven itself many times over. The extremely resistant polyester fibre is woven crosswise in a close-meshed pattern.
This results in a very high fabric density which makes the breaker not only resistant to foreign bodies, but also makes it particularly resistant to punctures. The rolling resistance is also not negatively affected by the PolyX Breaker®.
